Cecelia Ann Hobbs

August 31, 1947 - April 13, 2025

Cecelia Ann Hobbs “Ann” passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2025, at her beloved home in Adamstown, MD. She was 77, born on August 31, 1947, in Beallsville and attended Poolesville High School. She was the daughter of the late Louis Parker Weller and Vivian Virginia Weller.


Ann leaves behind her husband Frederick T. Hobbs Jr., and her only child Laura (Hobbs) Hutchinson and son-in-law, Thomas J. Hutchinson. She is also survived by her sisters Faith Lewis and Mary Lou Hoffacker. She was preceded in death by her brother; Larry Weller.


Ann was a dedicated animal lover. She rescued many Terriers throughout the years and gave them a loving home. Also, she was an avid gardener. She enjoyed sailing with her husband and daughter on the Chesapeake Bay and driving to British Car Rally’s. She was also a classic movie buff. Ann dedicated 35 years as a devoted staff member of a local firm accepting
accounts payable and weekly payroll.


The family will be receiving friends on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville, MD. A Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at St Mary's Catholic Church, 18230 Barnesville Rd, Barnesville, MD 20838. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
