We are devastatingly saddened to announce Madison F. Loucks-Lenz, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away on May 27, 2023. Madison is survived by her husband Rob Lenz, her parents Joshua Loucks and Patricia Copenhaver, her stepfather William (Bill) Copenhaver, loving siblings Will Copenhaver, Paige Copenhaver and Davis Copenhaver, Father & Mother-in-Law, Dale and Pam Lenz and Brother-in-Law Thomas (Tommy) Lenz.

Madison was a true force and “bright light” in this world, through her love and caring of her friends and family, her humor, creativity, and her commitment to making the world a better place. At her young age, she was a true trailblazer with her passion for children, raising cattle and farming. She was undoubtedly a role model and would have been a role model for young women.

Our love of farming brought us together about 5 years ago. Madison and I instantly connected and became good friends. We would always talk about our calves and all the beautiful colors they came out to be. She was always so happy whenever we would see each other, whether it was in the field to run the herd, or on a back road somewhere in Poolesville. I will miss her smile and the big hug we would exchange when we got to see each other in between the busy seasons. She was such a beautiful, genuine, wholesome person. My deepest condolences go out to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed and was so loved. Fly high my beautiful friend.

Tricia, Josh, Bill, Will,Paige and Davis There are no words to convey my deeply profound sadness for all of you and the world with the loss of such a bright light. Madison was always with a smile and always helping when we were all on Autumn Mist Circle. Being around her was being around joy. Please find comfort in your memories of Madison and that she was loved by so many. Love to you all. Maureen

Mom and I were just devastated to hear this heart breaking news of your passing. You were such a beautiful girl and wish we didn't live so far away that we could have seen you more often and to get to know the woman you had become. Tricia and Josh, just know that your family in Utah has you in our hearts and wish we could give you a big hug and a shoulder to cry on. Know that we love you and are with you in spirit. Love you, Jayme

I can’t believe Maddie is gone. She was a patient where I work. We all loved seeing her come in and share her life! Make us laugh! Always seemed to know what made her happy. Being a farm girl from WV I got to watch her fall in love with that style of life. She was so excited about getting married …. I know she had more things planned in life. She was very special! Condolences to Family

Madison is the best little cousin you could ever ask for. We grew up far apart, but every time we got together, we were best friends. She is the nicest-most loving person you could ever meet, and I always wished we didn't live so far. You are loved and will be truly missed.

We began playing volleyball together before entering freshman year of QOHS. Madison had one of the best serves I’ve ever seen. It was so powerful just like her. She was just so energetic, funny, and just overall a nice person from what I remember of her years ago. Though we lost touch over the years, I always wished for her to do well and to spread that positivity she always had and it seems like she did. I offer my deepest condolences to her family and loved ones during this heartbreaking time.

Josh and family, We are heartbroken to hear of this tragedy. Madison was a beautiful young woman with so much fire in her. She was a force and we know this will be an unimaginable heartbreak for all of you. Know that we are thinking of you and hoping that all your wonderful memories will sustain you during this time.

Madison was a kind and warm loving person that always made me smile. She would send me snap chat pics daily of the girls she watched and her cows. I will miss her very much. Unfortunately unable to attend the service as I will be out of town.

Dear Tricia, Will, Paige, Davis, Joshua, Bill, Rob, and Family, We are deeply saddened to hear of Madison's passing and the tremendous loss and grief you must now endure. Madison was truly one of the sweetest, kindest, and most selfless young ladies we have known. Although we have not seen her since she was just a young girl, the smile in her photo still shines as bright as it did when we all lived on Autumn Mist. Her love for her siblings was very apparent in the way she cared for and listened to each of them when they would speak; they would gravitate to her whenever she was around - she was a true blessing and shining light in their lives...in all of your lives, we know. May the love and promises of Christ fill your hearts with peace. Matthew 11:28-30 - Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. With much love, David, Claire, Val, and John Bucklin

We even went with it for a while. Your one of the reasons my childhood was so rememorable and fun!!! Thanks for being my best friend for so many years! You’ll never be forgotten!
