January 29, 1945 - November 20, 2023

Margaret Anne Beliveau, 78, of Poolesville, MD, passed away on November 20, 2023.

Born on January 29, 1945, in England, she was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Florence (Collins) Marshall.

At eighteen, Anne emigrated to the United States and pursued various vocations, culminating in a distinguished career at United Airlines with over 30 years of service. She moved to Poolesville eight years ago to live with her son and his family.  A beloved member of the Poolesville Seniors, Anne played Pickle Ball, Bridge, and Maj Jong, and marched with the Seniors in the Poolesville Day parade.  In between cups of tea, she enjoyed gardening, reading, feeding the birds, watching her favorite tennis players, soccer teams and Jeopardy, and listening to “The Big Broadcast”.   She had a sharp intellect and a big, generous heart.  She volunteered her time as a WUMCO driver, served in the Poolesville Community Garden, and rescued several stray cats.  Anne also expressed her love and compassion for both people and animals by supporting many charities, including WUMCO Help, DC Central Kitchen, Salvation Army, and the SPCA.

Anne was a loving mother to her son, Robert Beliveau, and daughter-in-law, Catherine Beliveau; and an adoring grandmother to her grandchildren: Mary Beliveau and husband Joseph Benedick, Michael Beliveau, and Kevin Beliveau. She is also survived by her brother, Michael Marshall, and was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin Marshall.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 2nd at Poolesville Presbyterian Church, 17800 Elgin Rd, Poolesville, MD 20837.  The service will be streamed on the PPC website at this link:  https://www.poolpres.com/H5_live_stream.php  The family invites all who knew Anne to share in remembering her life.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in her memory to WUMCO Help or Poplar Springs Animal Sanctuary.

From:  Marshall

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to connect with Anne more this past year than I ever had before. I am grateful that I was able to share that time with her and get to know her better. Her kindness and generosity will be fondly remembered.

From:  Gini Staver

I was very pleased to have Ann as a customer at my barber shop for many years. She will be missed. I am sorry for your loss. I'll bet she's organizing heaven's seniors into some games right now! She's in the right place.

From: The Hilton Family

Our deepest condolences to your family.
