August 30, 1949 – May 28, 2025

Patricia “Patty” Cassidy Morningstar, 75, of Urbana, MD, died on May 28, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was the loving wife of Gary Morningstar.

Born on August 30, 1949, in Atlantic City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Patrick Joseph and Eleanor Theresa (Kelly) Cassidy.

Patty was incredibly generous and kind, especially with her precious time she had left. She was a great listener, and always had great positive advice. She will be greatly missed by many. But one of the things I will miss the most is her beautiful infectious laugh and smile. To know her was to love her.

Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Chris and Greg Morningstar, one sister Sharon Delany and one niece and nephew Kelly and Tommy Delany.  Patty was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Cassidy.

The family will be receiving friends on Saturday June 7th from 2 – 3 PM at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd., Barnesville, MD, with a memorial service starting at 3PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
