David Jones was a Washington Area native and the youngest of 7 children of Helen and Bernard Jones.

David graduated from Rock Terrace High School in Rockville in 1978 and then worked for NIH\NIDA as a clerk for 43 years retiring in 2012. While living at Leisure World, David joined the Ceramic Crafters 3 Club and enjoyed new crafts and new friends. He entered his crafts in the Montgomery County Fair for 12 years winning ribbons for his needlepoint, ceramics, and baking.
David is survived by his brothers, Bud and Stephen Jones; his sisters Marge Freeman and Diana Brennan; and his wonderful caretakers, Anat and Ron Alegre.
A gravesite memorial will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 2, 2026 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20906.
