Derrick J. Repep, 61, of Poolesville, MD, passed away on June 3, 2026.

Derrick was the loving husband to Dawn C. Repep.

​

Born on June 22, 1964 in Kentucky, he was the son to the late James A. and Claire (Hawkins) Repep.

 

Derrick took great pride in his work in cyber security. He was a talented woodworker and was looking forward to retirement and getting some fishing and woodworking done. He was a loyal and caring friend, making a profound difference in the lives of everyone he met. His family was first and foremost in his life and in his heart, always putting them before everything else. He will be deeply missed.

Along with his wife, Derrick was survived by his children; Summer Ketcherside (Chris), Christopher Shrum (Carin), Jessica Repep, Jenna Repep, brother; Kevin Repep, sister; Stacy Kovaleski and 4 grandchildren; Tylor, Chase, Brooklinn and Audrey.

 

The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, June 6th from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville, MD.

 

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
