Dorothy (Dee) Ogden Falls, 65, of Poolesville, Maryland, formerly of Otisville, New York, passed away on October 19, 2026, after a long and difficult battle with cancer. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
Dee was known for her warmth, generous spirit, quick wit, and unmistakable New York sense of humor. Her sharp observations, perfectly timed sarcasm, and ability to bring laughter to those around her were among her most endearing qualities. Above all, she was a devoted wife, loving mother, and loyal family member whose greatest happiness came from those she held dear.
Dee shared 30 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Rick. Their love story began with a chance meeting at a friend's home, where Rick immediately recognized that Dee was someone extraordinary. Just three weeks after they met, he proposed marriage, beginning a remarkable journey together filled with love, companionship, laughter, and countless treasured memories.
As a mother, Dee's love and devotion were boundless. Her three children, Katherine, Isabelle and Zachary, were the center of her world. She offered them unwavering encouragement, unconditional love, and steadfast support throughout their lives. There was nothing she would not have done for their happiness and well-being, and the strength of her love will remain an enduring part of their lives.
Dee found pleasure in life's simple joys, including cooking, arts and crafts, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed traveling and exploring new places, with memorable journeys to Italy and Paris among her cherished experiences. A lifelong animal lover, Dee held a special affection for the many dogs who shared her home and heart over the years. Her family takes comfort in imagining her reunited with Dusty, Delilah, and Daisy, while Dash and Dilly continue to provide companionship and keep Rick occupied at home.
Dee is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Rick; her beloved children, Katherine Victoria Ogden Falls, Isabelle Grace Ogden Falls, and Richard Zachary Ogden Falls; her brother, Dan Ogden; and numerous cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings Lulu, Skip, Tom, and Betty.
She will be remembered for her remarkable sense of humor, her kindness, and the unconditional love she extended to her family. Her presence brought warmth and joy to those around her, and her passing leaves an immeasurable absence in the lives of all who knew and loved her.
While she will be deeply missed, Dorothy's memory will endure through the family she treasured, the laughter she inspired, and the many lives she touched. Her love and spirit will remain with those closest to her, always.
