First, I thank God that Eugene had a relationship with Jesus Christ! For those who do, we will see each other in Heaven with God for eternity! I met him briefly, as our 2026 UMB Nursing class is quite large, and he had a large smile on his face as he held the door open for me on our first day of class. I could tell Gene was a good dude! In hindsight, it makes even more since now seeing that he was also a child of God. My condolences to the family. Rest in the peace of God which passes all understanding! "Then he said to them, 'Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.'" Nehemiah 8:10 NKJV
