Giuseppe Antonio Gianni, affectionately known as Joe, passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 38. Joe grew up in Glenn Dale, Maryland, in a large family, where he was often surrounded by food, laughter and good times.
Joe was a hardworking, loving, and genuine person who brought laughter and joy to those around him. He was known for his quick sense of humor and his ability to crack a joke, always finding a way to make people smile. If he made fun of you, you were one of the lucky ones he loved! He had a natural curiosity and loved tinkering with cars, fishing and riding dirt bikes.
Joe took great pride in his work and was dedicated to building a successful career in the electrical industry. He spent 13 years working for Pepco before continuing to grow professionally as an Electrical Project Manager. Throughout his career, he worked with several companies, including Amazon Web Services, DigitaLogic, and Dominion Energy. Joe's intelligence, determination, and strong work ethic allowed him to continually take on new challenges and advance in his career.
While Joe was proud of his career, his greatest accomplishment and source of pride was his family. He was an amazing and caring husband and father who always made sure Amy and Joey had everything they needed. He loved taking family walks, pushing Joey or the swing, and singing songs to him before bed.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Gianni; his son, Giuseppe Antonio Gianni, Jr. (Joey); his mother, Patricia Gianni; his sisters, Maureen Morrone and her husband, Dominick Morrone, and Christina (Nina) Ganey and her husband, Alan Ganey; his nieces, Gemma Ganey and Giuliana Ganey and his nephew, Nico Morrone. He was preceded in death by his father, Giuseppe Gianni, and his sister, Ashleah Gianni.
Though his life was far too short, the love Joe gave his family will continue through his son, through Amy, and through the memories he created with everyone he held dear. His laughter, his jokes, his stories, and his presence will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, Joe. You will always be loved, always be remembered, and forever be missed.
