Mary Elizabeth Bladen

July 22, 1943 - January 4, 2026

Mary Elizabeth Bladen, age 82, of Montgomery Village, MD, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 4, 2026. 

 

As a Maryland native, Mary was born on July 22, 1943, in Germantown, she was the daughter of George Ward (deceased) and Lyndall Hungerford (deceased). Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Bladen, Jr., son Daryl Bladen, great- great-grandson Michael Coleman, and brothers, Vernon and Randy Ward.

 

She is survived by her daughters, Mary L. Bladen and wife Diane of Hagerstown, MD, Laura Patterson and husband Rick of Myrtle Beach, SC, granddaughters, Stephanie Driver and husband Tony of Hagerstown, MD, and Catie Dunn and husband Bill of Apex NC, great-grandchildren, Nicholas Dalton of Hagerstown, MD, Layna Dalton of Montgomery Village, MD, and Jonathon Dalton of Hagerstown, MD ; great-great-grandchildren, Amelia Dalton, Mikhael Dalton, Julian Dalton, Lily Dalton, Kenny Dalton, and Mylo Dalton, sister Sherry Hallet; and brothers George, Walter, Jerald, and Gary Ward. 

 

Mary was Montgomery County Government Retiree and a lifetime member of the Laytonsville District Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.

 

Funeral services will be held at Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville, MD 20838. The family will receive guests Monday, January 12th from 10 am to 11 am. Funeral service will begin at 11 am, Monocacy graveside services will follow.
