Nancy P. Kingsbury, 93, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on October 15, 1932, in Germantown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Margaret Pumphrey. 

​

Nancy was born and raised in Germantown, where she dedicated many years of her life to caring for children as a childcare provider. She lovingly cared for countless families over the years and was known for her kind heart and nurturing spirit. Nancy cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also looked forward to her weekly card games with friends, which brought her much joy.

Nancy is survived by her sons, Jerry and his wife Lisa, Brian, Chris; her daughter, Mary and her husband Wayne; 11 grandchildren, Shelley, Joey, Grant, Julia, Jack, Alexandra, Charles, Erika, Michelle, Michael, Elizabeth. 15 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Zachery, Noah, Breonna, Maddex, Kelron, Grayson, Ava, Kennedy, Lucy, Arabell, Elithia, Amara, Sage, Rosie.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald Kingsbury; her brothers, Roger, Bob, Bill, Frank; her sisters Francis, Peg, grandson David. 

​

Nancy will be profoundly missed and forever remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, cherished friend and the Foundation of our family. Her legacy of love will continue to inspire us for generations to come. 

​

Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville, MD.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 18230 Barnesville Road, Barnesville, MD 20838. A reception will immediately follow at St. Mary's Pavilion.
