Petrina Pauline Milo

August 1, 1944 - December 15, 2025

Petrina Pauline Milo, 81, passed away in Potomac, Maryland, on December 15, 2025, still knowing she was deeply loved after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was a devoted wife and mother, cherished grandmother, beloved aunt, loyal friend, and a steady, loving presence to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Born August 1, 1944 in New York City, Petrina later made her home in Pittstown, New Jersey, where she built a life centered on family, care, and connection. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Vera Guarineri. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James H. Milo; her sister, Jackie Hunt; her daughters, Andrea Milo (Ed) and Vicky Schneider (Matt); and her adored grandchildren, Benjamin and Clinton.

Petrina was neat and thoughtful in all she did. A woman who remembered birthdays, favorite treats, and the small details that made people feel seen. She loved deeply and showed that love through consistency, care, and showing up again and again for the people and moments that mattered most. As long as she was able, she attended communions, confirmations, graduations, weddings, Grandparents’ Days, and countless sporting events across generations. Many still treasure her carefully crafted cross-stitched baby blankets or remember her homemade apple pies and Christmas cookies. Family was her pride and her purpose.

Petrina worked at Union Township School for 25 years as an administrative assistant, where she offered kind smiles and steady support to countless educators and students.

She was known for her spirited stories, joyful laughter, and for being a fierce protector and trusted confidant. She found happiness in simple pleasures: books on the beach, a comfy bathrobe, long walks, flowers, music, and dancing.

Petrina will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 2 White Bridge Rd, Pittstown, NJ 08867 at 10am on January 19, 2026.

I was blessed to have Pat as the homeroom mom for Andrea when Andrea was in second grade. This was the beginning of a long friendship that continued into our retirement years. She was always a calming force at Union Township School. I am so sorry for your loss. May your memories help you during this difficult time.

To the entire Milo family, I am so terribly sorry for your loss. I didn’t know Petrina well, but in the few times I met her I could clearly see that she was a kind soul who enjoyed life and loved her daughters and grandchildren very much. The sacrifice of the entire family over the last few years of her life is a testament to how much she meant to everyone. I wish you all strength in this time of grief.

I remember Pat's welcoming smile in the Union Township office from the first day I entered with my first child to the many days that smile helped me through hard times on the school board. She was a lovely lady. I am so sorry for your loss and know how hard her passing is for all of you.

Our deepest condolences to your family.
