Richard Thomas Mullett, 76, of Poolesville, Maryland passed away suddenly on
February 18, 2026.
Richard was born on July 11, 1949 in Washington D.C., and grew up in Bethesda, MD.
He is survived by his brothers, William Mullett Jr., wife Shelia; John Mullett, wife, Pandora and sisters, Katherine Morehead, Pamela Harper, husband, Walter; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Richard is proceeded in death by his mother Katherine Audrey (Kellogg) Mullett and his father William Mather Bolles Mullett.
Rick was known by the family as the "Dog Whisperer." He had a special ability to calm dogs as a result of his gentle and loving mannerisms. The breed dear to Rick's heart was the Norweigan Elkhound. The family ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made in his memory to Four Paws Elkhound Rescue.
