
Thomas (Tom) Anthony Hosinski, 79, of Germantown, MD passed away on January 6, 2026. He was the loving husband to Karen J. Hosinski for 30 years.

Born on December 3, 1946, in Wisconsin, he was the son of the late Anthony Aloysius Hosinski and Alice Agnes (LaBerge) Hosinski.
​
Surviving are his wife Karen and his children; Terri Arnoldi (Don), John Hosinski (Cathy), Julie Wright (Phil), Kristi Holloway (Paul), Jeffery Kaelin (Amy), Richard Kaelin (Kristen), Joanna Stino (Anthony), brothers and sisters; Robert Hosinski, James Hosinski (Theresa), John Hosinski (Gloria), Mark Hosinski, Mary Manning (Dennis), Anne Hosinski, Joan Bass (Brad), 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Tom was a 1965 graduate from Einstein High School in Kensington, Maryland. He then served in the U.S. Air Force from November 1966 until November 1970 stationed both in Da Nang and Dongha, Vietnam during his deployments. After his military service, Tom became a Montgomery County, Maryland police officer in 1970 retiring as a Corporal in 2003. Additionally, he was a graduate of the University of Maryland.

Always a sportsman, Tom was an avid and outstanding bowler, participating in league play for many years in Montgomery County. He also played competitive slow pitch softball for many years with fellow County police officers, traveling to Canada several times while pitching for the team. Following football and baseball was a favorite way to spend time, rooting for Notre Dame, Maryland, Penn State, Baltimore Ravens, Washington Redskins, and his beloved Atlanta Braves. He also never turned down a friendly poker game or a late-night glass of Sambuca.

In retirement Tom enjoyed traveling, taking cruises, and spending time with family and friends.
​
The family will be receiving friends on Friday, January 23rd from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 9240 Damascus Rd, Damascus, MD 20872 where Mass will begin at 10:30 AM. Luncheon will follow in church hall next door.
